Navodaya College of Physiotherapy Organizes CME Program on Community Health & Physiotherapy
The Department of Community Health & Physiotherapy at Navodaya College of Physiotherapy (NCP), Raichur, successfully organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program on Community Healthcare on 9th June 2025. The event saw the enthusiastic participation of over 60 registered attendees, including eminent dignitaries, Heads of Departments, professors, lecturers, and students, all coming together to delve into this vital area of healthcare.

The CME featured an enlightening and impactful session by Dr. Doss Prakash, who presented his work under the guidance of Padma Shri Awardees Dr. Abhay Bang and Dr. Rani Bang—pioneers in community health services among the tribal populations of Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. Dr. Prakash emphasized the critical need to address healthcare disparities in rural and tribal regions of India and advocated for stronger community-based physiotherapy strategies.
Participants actively engaged in discussions on challenges and opportunities in community health delivery, gaining practical insights into grassroots-level healthcare models. The program served as a platform for knowledge exchange and professional collaboration, reinforcing the importance of physiotherapy in enhancing public health outcomes.
